InCall Lock

InCall Lock is an application that serves to lock while the call key (green) and end key (red) when you receive incoming calls to prevent the pickup / reject as you pull your device from your pocket.

All the other hardware buttons are not touched. And after you answer the call, the application will automatically release the key, so you will be able to end the call. This application is very easy to use, and certainly very useful for you.

How to use:

- Soft reset or launch "InCall Lock Toggle"
- To enable/disable InCall Lock temporarily, use InCall Lock Toggle in your Programs menu.

Change untrusted java applications on Windows Mobile to be trusted

When we install java applications on Windows Mobile by using the java virtual machine for example Esmertec Jbed, the installed applications are untrusted domains. But it can be changed by changing the untrusted application to trusted applications.

We no longer need to see confirmation of Internet access, access to storage device confirmation when java application is already trusted.

These applications are JavaAuthorizer. That could change the untrusted application to trusted applications. It's easy to use. Just download the application and copy it into your Storage Device then run the JavaAuthorizer application and your java application will turn into trusted applications. For more details, please see this video.

This application is Chinese language. However, JavaAuthorizer application is very easy to use. I've tried it and work with Esmertec Jbed 20080912.5.1 version.

The Blue Angel is sold as XDA IIs, MDA III, Qtek 9090, PDA2K and many other names. D-two of the xda-developers forum has managed to make Windows Mobile 6.5.1 to work on BlueAngel. Although this is still beta, but this ROM is worth a try.

Blue Angel with Windows Mobile 6.5 already has a very good display, what more when using windows mobile 6.5.1. Awesome. This is a good news for Blue Angel users. And I also, because until now, I jga still use O2 XDA IIs. And I also have to wait long for a firmware version higher and better.

There are two kinds: English version and German version.

MSkip ProPlus Elegance for Mobile Shell 3.5

Contains the following:
- 7 selectable Lifestyle screens instead of the standard 3* PLUS a 3 button menu on the Pro and Lifestyle Screens on Portrait Mode
- PLUS an extra favourites (contacts) screen (click on contacts and then swipe your finger on the screen to the left to bring up the extra screen), this screen is fully customizable and you can swipe off the second favourites screen.
- PLUS I added a 9th panel in the Spb Menu Screen called Spb Menus which contains 10 spb mobile shell shortcuts that can be selected as application links to be placed on the screen if desired.

1. Uninstall any extra cabs or addons you have installed for Spb Mobile Shell
2. Uninstall Spb Mobile Shell and soft reset your device
3. Install the latest version of Spb Mobile Shell (current version is 3.5)
4. Install ProPlus Basic or Ultimate to device memory (same as MS3 in installed)
5. After installations completes, soft reset your device
6. Job done. Congratulations you have now expanded the potential of Mobile Shell

ReRemind V6.1 - Periodic audible reminders for waiting events

ReRemind is a Windows Mobile service that plays a brief sound at a specified interval when reminders, missed calls, and voicemails are awaiting your attention.

Service:
ReRemind runs as a true Windows Mobile service -- it is a DLL hosted by services.exe. Therefore, ReRemind does not use one of the very few 32 processes available. ReRemind is also very light on available resources, relying on the built-in notification system to scan for and raise notifications.

Current features:
- ReRemind will notify you when reminders (calendar) are active, there are missed calls, new voicemails, unread SMS, and/or unread email.
- You can be reminded at any interval you specify, in minutes.
- Rereminders can be turned off during a time span (such as overnight).
- Play any WAV file! But sound must be less than about 10 seconds long, or it may be cut off as the device moves from UNATTENDED power state back to SUSPENDED power state.
- Optionally vibrate device in addition to playing a sound.
- Specify that ReRemind stops reminding after a certain number of rereminders.
- AppToDate support
- Very power efficient. All checks are done using the State and Notification Broker and Named Events in the notification queue. Playback is done (by default) in unattended mode. The service does not periodically "ping" because it waits for events, so it's completely idle as long as the state of the monitored events are not changing.
- Cleans up after itself! Don't you hate it when apps use the notificaton queue but leave stale notification events lying around requiring you to run something like MemMaid to clean it up? ReRemind always checks to see if a notification is waiting when it is signalled to exit. If a notification is waiting, it clears it out.
- TRUE SERVICE! Does NOT use one of the precious few 32 process slots on Windows Mobile. The app you see in the StartUp folder is simply to turn on the service. This is due to unsigned services being unable to autostart.

Currently, there is no cab file for installation (cause I am really tired and it's late night!), the installation is straightforward:
1. Unzip the zip file within \program files\taskanium (the path is hard-wired, so unzipping it somewhere else would not work*).
2. Click on taskaniumInstall file (if you don't see any error messages it means the installation was successful). * taskaniumInstaller is just a lnk file, if you know how to modify it; you can modify it to point to some other installation folder (along with taskaniumUninstall). The link files are the only place where the path is hard-wired, rest all should work.
3. Soft reset.

1. Click on taskaniumUnInstall.
2. delete the entire taskanium folder

PIM Backup v2.8

The PIM backup application is a tool that allows to backup/restore personal information stored on windows mobile based pocket devices. Concerning the personal information, I refer to contacts, appointments, tasks, messages, calls,...

The backup is totally independent of the version of Windows Mobile running on the device and independent of the device itself. The backup is also independent of the language used on the device. You can easily backup on a Chinese device and restore in a German one.

There are two kinds of backups. The binary based backup has been implemented in order to have a backup/restore process which is fast and more reliable, the disadvantage being that the backup contents cannot be easily modified or viewed.

The text based backup has been implemented in order to see/edit the contents on a pc for instance.

Restore contacts:

Backup messages:

The mail database is completely parsed to retrieve all the messages stored in every directory and subdirectory. It is possible to select which account and directories should be backed up. You can save attachments as wel if they exist on the pocket pc.

Restore messages:

Same as the backup, you can select which account and directories should be restored to the device. Caution, if an account doesn't exist on the pocket pc, this application will discard the messages that belong to that account.

Scheduled backup:

It is possible to schedule a backup, each day of the week and this at a specific hour. If the pocket pc is suspended, it will wake up and do the backup. You can eventually control the number of backups to keep and switch off the pocket pc after the scheduled backup is finished.
The schedule backup creates a notification that can be cleared via the Options Menu.

File types:

There is only one file type now, which is .pib (Personal Information Backup), in fact it is just a zip file (so you can open it with a zip application) which contain the different text files used in PPCBckpContacts, so you can still extract these files, edit them on a pc using Excel or Notepad and eventually restore them without putting them back in the .pib file.

Now you can accept SEVEN disclaimer and go to download page. Choose Other download option and click downloading the software to your computer desktop. Choose Vendor: Other and press OK. And now you can choose your Windows Mobile Version, and download Seven application.

SEVEN Push Email Installation:

- After you download SEVEN application, you can transfer instalation file (def_seven-ppcwm6.cab) into your device via Active Sync or copy into SD Card.
- Go to file explorer and tap SEVEN installation file to install SEVEN application.
- Choose installation location in Device.

SEVEN Push Email Settings:

- After installation, press next in Wellcome screen and accept User Licence Agreement.
- SEVEN will identify your device.
- Now you can enter your mobile number, and validating your phone number.
- Choose service provider (Work, Yahoo!, Gmail, AOL Mail, Hotmail, Other POP, Other IMAP) Here I using Yahoo! service.
- Enter username and password. And press sign in.
- Congratulations! You have successfully signed in to Yahoo! (if your username and password is corrected :D)
- Next steps, Enter Account Nickname, and some configuration.
- Next steps, Sync Contacts. You can tick to sync your contact.
- Finished :) Now you have Push Email in your Windows mobile ;)

O2 XDA Atom or Atom Pure produced with Windows Mobile 5 as Operating System. But now the Operating System of O2 XDA Atom can be upgraded to Windows Mobile version 6.5. By using this version, O2 XDA Atom can have the maximum performance and and better graphical display.

What is needed to upgrade O2 Atom?

You need:
1. Personal Computer

3. O2 XDA Atom ROM

3. Extract ROM files that are downloaded and copy all files to C: / WINDOWS / Temp /
4. Connect the O2 Atom with your PC using a data cable.
5. Open Device Software Update Utilityl.exe (the file is already in the copy to C: / WINDOWS / Temp /)
6. In update items step, select the OS + ExtendedRom and click NEXT
7. Wait until the device recognized and click UPGRADE. Do not pull a data cable until the upgrade process is completed.
8. After Upgrade proccess is completed, you can turn on device and configuration settings. And the device will automatically make auto install application for O2 XDA Atom

Now, you can enjoy your O2 XDA Atom with Windows Mobile 6.5 Operating System
